Charities
Ann still maintains many of her charitable interests including two very popular animal shelters: The Buttercups Goat Sanctuary in Maidstone and the Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land.

Thanksgiving Service
On September 17th 2008, Ann marked the 21st Anniversary as a Member of Parliament with a Service of Thanksgiving. Colleagues, dignitaries, friends and family gathered at St Francis Church, Week Street.

Freedom of the Borough
In December 2007, to coincide with the 20th Anniversary of her election, Ann was awarded the Freedom of the Borough of Maidstone.
